Spencer Johnson once said, “We get the results we subconsciously believe we really deserve.” It’s believed that 95% of our daily actions are driven by our subconscious mind and the beliefs it holds. This is why it’s so important to rewire our beliefs for success.

In this week’s blog, we’ll explore how to uncover evidence supporting your worthiness of success, what to do when that evidence seems elusive, and how to identify and transform the origin stories behind your self-doubt and success beliefs.

Are you ready to dive in?

For our minds to form new beliefs, we need to provide rewire outdated beliefs and look at evidence of our success. Otherwise, we’ll keep replaying the same old programming based on past experiences.

Start by deciding on the belief you want to create. For instance, “I am deserving of success, and it comes to me easily.” Then, begin building a case for this new belief. What evidence, big or small, can you find that supports this truth?

Success is a combination of our internal self-talk and the actions we take to achieve our goals

EFT practitioner Brad Yates reminds us, “We often believe that our deservedness is based on our merit, what we’ve achieved, what we’ve done.” Instead of focusing solely on external accomplishments, look inward. Remember, your inherent worth isn’t determined by your results.

You’re worthy of success because you’re a good person who enjoys helping others, you’re friendly, kind, and compassionate. What other evidence can you uncover to reinforce this new belief?

Sometimes, our subconscious clings tightly to old beliefs, resisting change. When you notice this resistance, it’s time to adjust your language and phrasing and rewire your beliefs.

Examine your desired belief and notice where you feel resistance. Consider altering some of the language to reduce emotional weight and resistance. Start from this more comfortable place, then gradually move into stickier feelings and emotions. For example, you might change “deserving” to “accepting.”

When seeking evidence for your new belief, delve into your childhood experiences. Explore your family dynamics and school memories to see what you uncover and rewire your beliefs.

Was there a sibling you weren’t allowed to outshine? Did you achieve success in something at a young age, like sports, only to have someone say or do something that made you feel undeserving? These are your origin stories.

Your past contains the clues to your future. When you forgive and heal your past you create your future

By connecting these early experiences to your current beliefs, you can find evidence to support the new belief you want to create. The key to transforming self-doubt is finding evidence for the belief you wish to embody. One effective way to do this is by examining what caused the initial belief in the first place.
