Are you ready to dive in?

The mind cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined. This means you can actually trick your brain into believing you’ve already attained the success you want in your coaching business, thereby tapping into your potential for greater impact and sales.

This is one of the reasons I’m such a big believer in visualisation. By calming your mind and getting laser-focused on your desired outcomes, you can reprogram your subconscious to overcome limiting beliefs and manifest positive change.

Other powerful techniques like affirmations, meditation, hypnosis, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) can also help unlock your potential. As the wise William Arthur Ward said, “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.” If visualisation isn’t already part of your routine, I encourage you to start a daily practice. It’s estimated that a massive 95% of our lives are run by the subconscious mind; habits, beliefs, emotional patterns and more. This means we’re largely operating on autopilot, unaware of the driving forces behind our behaviours and mindset. But once we shine a light on the subconscious, we unleash the power to transform and fulfil our potential. No more playing small!

Here’s a powerful exercise to become conscious of your negative self-talk. Whenever you catch yourself indulging in a negative inner narrative, write it down, on a notepad, computer or your phone. Do this for at least a week. Some thoughts will be fleeting one-offs, but others will reveal themselves as consistent, daily self-talk patterns affecting your mindset.

Put a star next to any phrases you notice yourself repeating over the course of the week. This will help illuminate the negative stories you’ve been unconsciously feeding yourself. Once you’ve gained clarity on these limiting beliefs, you can flip the script and replace them with positive affirmations.

Remember, the brain can’t differentiate reality from imagination, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t fully believe the positive statements right away.

Einstein defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Yet so many of us remain trapped in this cycle. Repeating the same unproductive patterns, habits and negative thoughts, somehow hoping things will magically change.

The subconscious mind learns through repetition, which is why habits (both good and bad) become so deeply ingrained. This is also why it’s critical to focus on your desired outcomes, set clear goals, visualise your future self, and foster empowering habits.
